#1 最初の三秒
The first impression decides - that is said to be the same for advertisement as posters as love as persons. How does that make influence on presentation of art? It is placed in galleries, off spaces and art fairs next to designer furniture, in catalogues on presentation tables and competes with styled staff and visitors. „First 3 Sec.“ presents works of artists that play with strategies of self-presentation and self-publicity. Positions that create their own fiction and their future place in memory.

#2 回り道をしない物語
The world is not so complicated that we are urged to use permanently too many metaphorical connections to understand it. An easy way of reading reality, which in this circumstance also means letter by letter can open new or already known perspectives that we are not used to. The program for that exhibition will present in different ways the advantages of an apparantly simple way of world making. And hopefully it will show that obvious simplicity can tipp over into diversity.

Uncountable talks, favourite songs, pictures and videos fly through the universe whether directed next door or faraway.There have never been more ways to stay in touch with people we work with, are interested in or that we love. The same approach to informations, popculture and special knowledge is the source for similar expectations and desires almost everywhere no matter the borders. Depending on the technical equipment annoying delay and distortion can occur. But the actual obtsacles begin when everyday life starts to function, when things still have to be transported, cooked and conflicts have to be carried out in real.

Human beings have survived for tousands of years because they fit perfectly to their natural and cultural context. Nüans celebrates this huge evolutionary step forward in collaboration with US filmmaker Michael H Shamberg who is known particularly for his work with the band, New Order, and the artist Lawrence Weiner.. His turtle salon is an open and chaotic network of diverse but interconnecting ideas, people, projects, events, and venues. Following an imposed period of inactivity and relative isolation, Shamberg reconnects with an international coterie of artists, writers, filmmakers, actors, musicians, dancers, architects.people, inviting proposals for readings, rantings, artworks, texts, performances and screenings.
”In Lebanon, at the border with Israel, there is a turtle sanctuary that is the result of being a protected area during the civil war. The almost extinct Mediterranean sea turtle was allowed to flourish. This is something good that came out of the war. I have gone through my own corporeal civil war and TURTLE is my sanctuary and celebration.” (Michael H. Shamberg)

#6 ザ・センター・オブ・アテンション
ーゲマインシャフトとゲゼルシャフト [Community and Society]
All that art tries to make invisible we transform into art. With this premise, this new exhibition from the Centre of Attention foregrounds aspects of our practice little commented on and brings together a number of wabi-sabi strands of our work to create an original piece for NÜANS. The initial installation opens to the public and allows visitors to make changes to the work, (first at the private view, and for the duration of the show) by adding, moving and recombining elements, etc. The space and the changes will be documented daily, then monthly (with the help of Düsseldorf's community of artists). Gemeinschaft: family (kinship group) tribe - unity of will Gesellschaft: self interest, civil society, contract - sacrifice of will This open source work allows visitors to make artistic judgements and statements and suggest challenges to our curatorial and artistic tropes. Further it allows us to attempt a dematerialisation of the audience and an ever evolving exhibition. One of the questions raised by this piece is, does the group thwart the intention of the artist? Or does a collective response add to the artist's intention? Nothing lasts, nothing is finished and nothing is perfect. The unstableness of the piece underpins the instability of definitions, of human interaction, of the work's existence and meaning. The individual is an unstable subject but the subject as object can not avoid an increased entropic fate.

2016年、メンテナンス中のアクシデントにより、nüans (アナ・ハイデンハイン, エルマー・ヘアマン, 梅原麻紀) のホームページは見ることができなくなった。本サイトには、当時の申合わせによりnüans プロジェクトにおける写真の撮影者、本・パンフレットの著作者としての個人名は表記していないものがある。グループプロジェクトでは作家としての立場から主に地域社会、リサーチ、作品制作における新しいアプローチを模索していた。また、招聘作家に対しても意見交換の場を提供することを目的としていた。数々の困難を乗り越えて実現したグループプロジェクトがあり今日に至っている。この場を借りて当時のメンバーと関係者にお礼を申し上げたい。（梅原麻紀）
